By Angelina Martinez
She floats on crystal starlight.
She changes every night.
At midnight she rises.
At dawn she falls.
She’s seen more than any.
She’s never alone.
The stars float all around her,
Giving her the comfort she needs.
Till the day she disappears,
Out of sight into the starry night.
She makes others jealous when she glows,
Bathing the earths’ landscape with light.
She makes the most extraordinary things happen,
When she is called out for the night.
Changing the darkness,
Into life.
When everyone is fast asleep through the night,
She ponders on life’s great existence.
So many wish to be with her,
Yet so few get too.
She is the Moon.
